Mercedes-Benz Vietnam celebrates 25th anniversary

On July 7th 2020, Mercedes Benz Vietnam together with AIP Foundation officially launched Phase II of the MobileKids Vietnam program and Safety with Moki Tour at Chi Lang Primary School and Hoang Van Thu Primary school (Go Vap District), covering helmet safety and
crash prevention education.
Particularly, 1,850 primary students aged from 8 to 10 had the opportunity to participate in training workshops to learn about safe behaviors such as how to get out of a locked car, fastening their seat-belts and using child restraints, refraining from sticking out of an open car window, and always observing carefully whenever opening a car door, in addition to
helmet safety education.
The Safety with Moki tour uniquely features in-class “edutainment” (educational and entertainment) training sessions and road safety challenges in the form of games, puzzles, and Q&As. Additionally, in each classroom, three students with the highest scores on their road safety education challenges will be awarded the title of “Moki ambassador”, enabling them to serve as positive road safety models for their peers.
Proud to be the inventor of the first automobile 134 years ago, Mercedes-Benz always puts safety at the top priority when creating vehicles. Not only do we care about the occupants’ safety, we also take other surroundings into great consideration. It is the “Three-pointed Star” who created 70% safety technologies of the industry, for example ABS, ESP, Airbag and many other state-of-the-art features, helping to reduce or mitigate negative effects on road users to the least.

What we do to help during the COVID-19 pandemic
What we do to help during the COVID-19 pandemic
COVID-19 and social distancing have caused extreme hardships for the most vulnerable. With that in mind, we at Mercedes-Benz Vietnam have pledged to help.
The staff of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam is preparing around 23,000 meals in April and delivering to multiple shelters, orphanages, and charitable organizations in Ho Chi Minh City. Packed in eco-friendly lunchboxes, the meals are meant to help orphans and elder people with hardships during this trying time.
Mercedes-Benz would like to thank the SOS Children's Village (Gò Vấp district), Tre Xanh shelter (district 1), Diệu Giác shelter (district 2), Saigon Railway Station shelter (district 3), Ánh Sáng shelter (district 3), Hướng Dương shelter (district 6), Long Hoa orphanage (district 7), Ngọc Quang temple (district 8), Lâm Quang pagoda (district 8), and Thiên Ân shelter (Tân Phú district) for making this opportunity possible.
To strengthen the commitment to the common good, Mercedes-Benz Vietnam has also donated to the COVID-19 fund administered by the local authority. Every employee has voluntarily contributed one day of the April paycheck, which is then matched dollar-for-dollar by the company itself. This joint effort has brought the total contribution to more than VND 1.1bn.
On May 4, 2020, Brad Kelly, CEO, has donated the money on behalf of MBV members at the Committee of Father Land’s Front, the office responsible for accepting and distributing COVID-19 donations in Ho Chi Minh City.
With a robust belief in the power of sharing, Mercedes-Benz will do our best to help those in need.
