Mercedes-Benz Wallboxes.

Simply charge your electric vehicle at home with the Mercedes-Benz Wallbox. This is not only faster and more convenient, but also safer than at a household socket.

Buying and installing a Mercedes-Benz Wallbox: Here's how

Do you have questions about our charging equipment?

You can protect your Mercedes-Benz Wallbox from unauthorized use by:

1. For charging box version 1.5, use a physical lock to prevent the charging cable from being removed from the charging box without permission.

2. Install the charging box in a secure, guarded location or in an area with surveillance cameras.

3. Ensure the charging box is always updated with the latest software to protect against security vulnerabilities.

1. Electrical Infrastructure:
Ensure that the electrical system of the apartment or building is of sufficient capacity and meets the technical requirements for the installation of the charging box. It may be necessary to upgrade the electrical system or install additional protection devices such as circuit breakers.

2. Installation Location:
Choose a convenient and safe installation location, close to parking and easy to access. Make sure the installation location does not obstruct or endanger others.

3. Maintenance:
Plan for regular maintenance and servicing to ensure the charging box operates stably and safely. Check the warranty terms and support services from the manufacturer.

Simultanous charging of several vehicles is not possible. Only one vehicle can be charged at a time with the Mercedes-Benz Wallbox.

You can charge vehicles from other manufacturers using the Mercedes-Benz Wallbox, as long as they share the same connection type and charging standards. Most electric vehicles today are equipped with the Type 2 connector (in Europe) for AC charging, which is commonly supported by Mercedes-Benz Wallboxes.

Please consider the following factors:

1. Electrical System:
Ensure your home’s electrical system has sufficient capacity to support the Wallbox and has space for a dedicated circuit breaker.

2. Installation Location:
Select a location near your parking space for convenient charging access. Ensure the charging cable can easily reach your vehicle without causing obstructions.
Confirm that the installation site is safe, does not pose a hazard to others, and can prevent unauthorized use.

3. Infrastructure:
Check if wiring from the main electrical panel to the Wallbox installation site can be safely and efficiently routed. This may involve wall drilling or underground wiring.
Ensure your home’s electrical system can handle the additional load from the Wallbox without overloading or posing a fire risk.

4. Professional Advice:
It’s best to hire a professional electrician to inspect and assess your home’s electrical system. They can provide accurate evaluations and recommend appropriate solutions.
Contact your service provider or Mercedes-Benz dealers for consultation and installation support.

The charging speed of your electric vehicle at home depends on several factors, including the type of Wallbox you use, your home’s electrical capacity, and your vehicle’s charging capabilities. We recommend the Mercedes-Benz Wallbox for a faster, more convenient, and safer charging experience.
