Hanoi - Mercedes-Benz Vietnam (MBV), the official supplier for the State Protocol vehicles, handed over 25 units of the S-Class to Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) according to a signed agreement between Senior representatives from MOFA and MBV in December 2016.
In the system of diplomatic courtesy, State Protocol has always played an important role as an expression of professionalism and hospitality of Vietnam Government to other Heads of State. MOFA (the management authority of State Protocol vehicles), therefore, decided to complement a number of new cars to serve Heads of State when visiting and working in Vietnam.
In late 2016, MBV signed an agreement with MOFA, according to which MBV would provide 25 S 400 L units for in order for MOFA to upgrade the State Protocol vehicles. This fleet is expected to serve upcoming diplomatic activities, including the APEC Summit Conference the largest diplomatic event in Vietnam taking place in November 2017 in Danang.
