"We develop products that are especially environmentally compatible in their market segment", is the second environmental guideline of the Daimler Group. Making this a reality means building environmental protection into our products from the very start. Ensuring this is the task of environment-conscious product development: Under the guiding principle of "Design for Environment" (DfE), it develops holistic vehicle concepts. The objective is to improve environmental compatibility in an objectively measurable manner and at the same time to respond to the wishes of the ever-increasing number of customers who are concerned about the environment.
The results are documented in externally-audited environmental certificates for the Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Here you will find detailed information about consumption, emissions and ecological assessment for the individual models and about the use of renewable raw materials and recyclates, recycling concepts and many other subjects.
