Delivery vans are indispensable to the daily logistical operation of the approximately 750 food banks in Germany: the perfect means to a good end. This is where the cooperation and commitment of Mercedes-Benz comes into play. As one of the main sponsors since 1998, we have been supporting food banks with Mercedes-Benz vans – thereby making the delivery of food as fast and flexible as possible.

From the original one-time donation of 100 Mercedes-Benz Vitos with service and maintenance contracts to the then 85 local food banks, a wide-ranging food bank sponsoring programme has developed. These include diverse transport solutions tailored to the specific requirements of each individual food bank.

Companies, foundations and non-profit associations of each city or region play an important part as sponsorship partners. Mercedes-Benz finances the vehicle together with local sponsors or the local food bank itself.

By sponsoring food-bank vehicles, companies and other organisations can assume social responsibility in their region.
