The service due date will automatically appear in the multi-function display approximately one month or 1,000 km before a service is due when the ignition is switched on or when you are driving. Therefore, the “SERVICE A” or “SERVICE B” displays provide information on which is due.

The next service due date is displayed either in days or in kilometers (km), depends on your driving style. So, a moderate style of driving at medium engine speeds and voiding short journeys will increase this distance and vice versa.

An acoustic signal will also sound if the service due date is exceeded.

The following displays, using the example of “SERVICE A”, are possible:
- “SERVICE A” “IN xxx DAYS”
- “SERVICE A” “IN xxx km”
- “SERVICE A” “EXCEEDED BY xxx DAYS”
- “SERVICE A” “EXCEEDED BY xxx km”
- “SERVICE A” “DUE NOW!”

Note:
Failure to have the service performed by the specified date may invalidate warranty and warranty goodwill.
In order to calling up, resetting the service indicator and setting the due date, please see C-Class (W203) owner’s manual (pages from 157 to 158), E-Class (W210) owner’s manual (pages from 113 to 114)
