With Mercedes-Benz as the platinum sponsor and the exclusive automobile partner, the Vietnam Charity Polo Cup was held for the first ever time in Vietnam on the 20th March, 2015. The sport of Polo is played in over 70 countries worldwide and considered as the “The Sport of Kings”. The representative face of the S-Class – Ms. Thu Minh and her husband Otto De Jager - realized bringing polo to Vietnam’s shores by collaborating with Polofix and District 360. The event is delighted to welcome Her Majesty the Queen’s eldest grandson, Peter Phillips to present The Charity Polo Cup and prizes to the participants.
“Vietnam Charity Polo Cup is the strongest proof for our company’s commitment in Vietnam as we nurture the lifestyle platform and at the same time, support social and environmental responsibility. We position ourselves differently from the other premium brands by going side by side with this Royal sport in Vietnam,” shared Mr. Michael Behrens, General Director of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam.
400 exclusive guests will be invited to witness the competition of the Royal Pahang Thai Polo take on Brunei Polo. To facilitate this competition, the Long Thanh Golf course was renovated with a newly installed polo ground nestled within their stunning estate. This is the foundation for Polo to develop in Vietnam as well as to welcome foreign Polo teams to choose Vietnam for further matches.
At the event, honor guests might have the chance to see 3 top-notch cars from Mercedes-Benz right on the course including the all-new S 600 Maybach, the AMG GT S and the SLS AMG Coupe.
