Mercedes-Benz Vietnam (MBV) announces today that the Company has officially received the license to import Mercedes-Benz Complete Build-up Unit (CBU), granted by relevant authorities.
Dr Udo Loersch, General Director of MBV said: “From now on, customers can buy Mercedes-Benz CBU imports from official source and have peace of mind regarding the car’s history and homologation. At the same time, the availability of after-sales services and of spare parts provided by Mercedes-Benz Autohaus dealer system nationwide will shoot all troubles that current CBU- import buyers may enter”.
According to current demand of customers, in the first phase, Mercedes-Benz Vietnam will import 4-seat, 6-seat and 7-seat passenger vehicles, as well as 2-door sport cars, ranging from saloons, coupés, SUV & off-roaders, roadsters & Cabriolets like: S350 L, S 500 L, CLS 350, R 350 L, ML 350, ML 500, SLK 350, GL 450, to name a few. All these models will be imported by MBV directly from Germany where the legend of the three-pointed star has started for over 120 years.

We selected more of the most beautiful ones to show customers in Vietnam” - metaphorically stated by Dr. Udo Loersch when MBV can provide customers in Vietnam with more Mercedes-Benz luxury models from Germany. “We want to satisfy customers’ diversified demands for owning more luxury Mercedes-Benz cars besides those currently assembled in Vietnam. We absolutely have advantages in providing customers with the best sales and after-sales services through our system, which has been set up in Vietnam for over 13 years.”- He added.

The price of Mercedes-Benz CBU is expected to be announced soon and will be very competitive in the luxury imported auto segment, since MBV can take advantages from 13-year success in its sales and after-sales system in Vietnam, just as emphasized by Dr. Loersch.
In terms of delivery, in the start-up stage, average lead time for customers to receive their cars is 4-5 months from the ordering day.
When operation is stable after a certain time, if customers order the standard-equipment cars that are available in the dealer stock, delivery can be done very quickly. If a customer orders a car with individualized equipment, then it has to be ordered in Germany and the delivery will take 4-5 months.
At the same time, Mercedes-Benz Vietnam will continuously invest in CKD production of its luxury E-Class, C-Class and Sprinter, etc as a key business in Vietnam. Most importantly, Mercedes-Benz now can enrich its product portfolio to satisfy increasing demand of customers in luxury auto segment.
