| | New World Hotel buys the first Mercedes officially imported car. |
Today, 27/2/2008, at New World Hotel Saigon, Mercedes-Benz Vietnam (MBV) organized a ceremony to hand over a fleet of luxury cars to the 5-star hotel. The fleet, all in black color, consists of 4 E-Class (E200K Avantgarde) and especially 1 unit of the famous crossover R-Class (R350L). This very first imported car by MBV is under production in Germany and will arrive in Vietnam in April. MBV has named its authorized Autohaus dealer HAXACO to support the delivery and after-sales services.
At the ceremony, Dr. Udo Loersch, General Director of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam said: “New World Hotel Saigon has been among the closest customers of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam over the years. This time is a special occasion as New World Hotel Saigon becomes the first customer of Mercedes-Benz CBU car imported by us, together with 4 E-Class produced locally. The whole fleet will now provide premium transportation services to the VIP guests of New World Hotel Saigon. I believe that with Mercedes-Benz, the hotels can add one more star in their already-excellent services.”
Mr. Andreas Binder, Director of Sales & Marketing said: “Mercedes-Benz E-class so far has overwhelmingly been preferred by 5-star hotels all over Vietnam. I think this is because being at the backseat of the E-class is as relaxing as being in a 5-star hotel room. This year we will further strengthen the existing co-operation projects with luxury hotels and resorts in Vietnam.” |

| R-Class - imported CBU to serve high-class guests |
In addition, New World Hotel Saigon has decided to buy an R-Class to serve transportation for group of up to 6 guests together, or for long touring trips, etc. With top equipment from Mercedes-Benz, this cross-over model is perfect for both city tours and long-distance trips. With this R-Class, New World Hotel Saigon is the first customer of official imported CBU cars by Mercedes-Benz Vietnam.

New World Hotel Saigon was the first internationally managed 5-star hotel in Vietnam and back then in 1994 we already started off with a fleet of 5 Mercedes, 2 S-class and 3 E-class limousines that were imported from Germany at that time. And just like back in 1994 when we were the first to have a complete Mercedes fleet, we are now the first hotel to import the new luxurious R-class into Vietnam. This recent upgrade of our limousine fleet is the first in a line of major renovation and modernization projects in 2008. We are currently completely renovating our Parkview restaurant with an expected grand opening on April 1st, after that we are planning to open the Saigon Baking Company, an innovative F&B concept around snacks, pastry and cakes. The most significant change however will our planned rooms renovation bring. All our 538 rooms and suites will undergo a complete modernization inside out with an expected completion by October 2008.
New World Hotel Saigon is one of two five-star hotels that are managed by Marriott International (U.S) in Vietnam. Besides New World Hotel Saigon, the other Marriott managed 5-star hotel, the Renaissance Riverside, has also agreed to buy additional Mercedes-Benz cars for transportation of its VIP guests. This Mercedes-Benz fleet sale to New World Hotel Saigon is a good start for a promising year of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam, in both CKD and CBU business. |
