On the 8th of March, Mercedes-Benz Vietnam announces one of the most special campaigns it has ever done in Vietnam. The “Mercedes-Benz Ambassador Program”, the first of its kind in the country, comes right on the occasion of Women’s Day. After careful selection, three celebrities very much passionate for cars and Mercedes-Benz brand - comprising of Hong Nhung (famous singer), Ly Nha Ky (movie star and already businesswoman), and Giang My (Miss King Hung’s Temple and a successful businesswoman) - will make their debut as the ambassadors of Mercedes-Benz luxury C-Class and E-Class in Vietnam for the year 2008.
Vietnam’s first 3 automobile ambassadors
This is the first time ever in Vietnam an automotive brand has been endorsed by celebrities. Once again, Mercedes-Benz shows that it is always the leader of the automobile industry with an innovative mindset. The Ambassador Program does not aim to be just another product campaign, but more of an artistic way to communicate the premium values of Mercedes-Benz in a more vivid manner.
Dr. Udo Loersch, General Director of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam said “The three ambassadors are quite familiar symbols, who have all the charming of modern women of our 21st century, intelligent, self-confident and dynamic, representing an increasingly elite group of people in Vietnam.”
“Mercedes-Benz wants to target various groups of customers. Men-behind-the-wheel has been already a familiar image. Today we see more and more ladies who steer the wheels in all areas in their own beautiful way”
Mr. Andreas Binder, Sales & Marketing Director, added “Most of the Vietnamese people know Mercedes-Benz and its top values. Now we want to highlight again to the public the images of our two luxury models: the young and agile C-Class, and premium business saloon E-Class.”
Being a Car Lover is no longer exclusive to men
“I am a car lover.” In a natural and traditional way of thinking of Vietnamese people, this statement is supposed to be made by a man. We have many reasons to think so. Normally, men have natural strong points over women in matters relating to technologies, machines, etc, and car loving are therefore assumed to be special hobby of men in general. Today, that reality doesn’t exit any more. Everyday we can see quite a lot of women who drive themselves. Some have even a much more impressive enthusiasm about cars than men do. And this group of people is increasing significantly. Hong Nhung, Nha Ky and Giang My can be called “car lovers” among many others, and especially they have a strong passion for Mercedes-Benz, a decisive factor that leads to their endorsement for the brand. |
