The new assistance systems for the CLS can make driving a much more relaxing experience. If requested, the driver can receive key information and parking assistance.

When parking or looking for a parking space, the driver can call on the assistance of the optional Active Parking Assist, including PARKTRONIC. The system uses ultrasound sensors to determine whether the size of a parking space is adequate. At the push of a button, your new CLS is guided into the selected space using steering motors.

A camera integrated in the boot flap transmits an image of the area behind the vehicle to the central COMAND display. The optional rear-view camera not only makes parking easier, but also enhances safety when reversing and manoeuvring on difficult terrain.
