Efficiency technologies in the new CLS Coupé

The latest-generation CDI diesel engines combine irresistible performance characteristics with low consumption. Injection pressure has been increased, smoothness of operation enhanced and noise levels optimised – while reduced compression makes for lower emission levels.

Direct injection, increased compression and a completely new air and exhaust system for petrol engines generate impressive figures for torque, output and noise reduction. Innovative engine technology has significantly reduced emissions and fuel consumption compared with previous models.
